The Hamilton Natural Seeder is
the industry standard seeder, and the machine by which all others are
judged. Ideal for the small to medium sized greenhouse operation, this
machine delivers the versatility and accuracy you need and expect.
There are three methods for indexing the tray under the seeder head: |

This entry-level model utilises the same precision seeder used on some of our more expensive seeding lines but fitted with a hand operated mechanism to step plug trays line-by-line under the seeder. Trays are loaded in the front of the machine, and then indexed out by a hand ratchet system. The seeder is synchronised to the ratchet mechanism to seed into each line of the plug tray. This machine only requires a compressed air supply. |

This device is for use in conjunction with the seeder to index the plug tray etc. under the seeder for precise sowing of seeds. The mechanism is powered by compressed air and controlled by a PLC to synchronise it with the seeder. In operation, the growing container is loaded under the front of the seeder. A microswitch starts the cycle, and the mechanism pushes the tray forward a row at a time, seeding each time until the tray, fully seeded, is re-presented to the operator, when the mechanism stops ready for the next tray. Dwell control and Multi-sow are now standard features (see below). A domestic single-phase electrical supply is required for this model. |

This is the top-of-the-line Natural Seeder model, the fastest and most versatile of our systems. The Seeder and Coverer are controlled by a Microprocessor PLC to synchronise the tray with the Seeder. Set-up times when changing trays are exceptionally fast, and this model will sow all types of tray from plug trays to thin plastic flats and packs. The height of the conveyor is adjustable to match up with most proprietary filling and watering lines. Another bonus with this model is the multiple sow feature which can be set to sow 1, 2 or 3 seeds per cell before the conveyor advances to the next line. A Dwell function is also incorporated. As with all models variable speed is standard. A domestic single-phase electrical supply is also required for this model. |

The Seed Pick-Up Dwell Control, at the flick of a switch, causes the nozzle bar to dwell in the seed tray for a longer period, giving the last few seeds of a seeding run the necessary time to be carried into the air flow of the nozzles for pick-up. This system virtually eliminates the 'misses' right down to the last few seeds in the tray. The Multi-Sow feature allows for 1, 2, or 3 sowing cycles to be selected before the tray is indexed to the next row. These features are now standard on the P100PLC Tray Indexing Mechanism, as they are built in to the control system. |

The Roller Dibbler is a simple but effective device for dibbling the cells of plug trays prior to seeding. Mounted on a base board or conveyor, the plug trays are passed under a roller which has dibbler pegs protruding to produce neat, uniform depressions. Roller Dibblers are available for most popular plug trays. |

This unit provides a quick, easy and reliable method of covering seeds sown by the seeder, with vermiculite. The amount dispensed is easily varied by two adjustments according to the vermiculite grade and depth required. The coverer is air operated and synchronised with the Seeder and Belt Conveyor. |
